12 Days, Golden Monkey, Gorilla Tracking & Wildlife Safaris

Day 1; Arrival, at Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda our representative will warmly greet you. Provide assistance with immigration procedures. They will then transfer you to your accommodation in either Entebbe or Kampala. Take some time to relax and get accustomed to the environment.

Day 2; tour to Mgahinga National Park

After enjoying a breakfast begin on a drive towards Mgahinga National Park located in the southwestern part of Uganda. This renowned park is famous for its population of endangered monkeys. Along the way soak in the landscapes. Pass through charming rural villages.

Upon reaching the park settle into your chosen lodge or camp. Indulge in a lunch. In the afternoon take a stroll around the park to adjust to the altitude while relishing views of the Virunga Mountains.

Day 3; Trekking with Golden Monkeys

Rise early and savor a breakfast before begining on a golden monkey trekking experience. The golden monkeys are a species exclusively found within the Virunga Mountains making Mgahinga National Park an exceptional location for observing and engaging with these creatures. Accompanied by a guide venture, into the bamboo forests as you search for these remarkable primates. Listen attentively for their calls as you traverse through the forest foliage keeping a keen eye out for their vibrant golden fur. After locating a group of monkeys take some time to observe their behavior and unique characteristics. It’s truly an experience. You’ll also learn about the conservation efforts, in place to protect these monkeys. Once you’ve finished the golden monkey trek make the most of your day by exploring the park. Take nature walks go birdwatching or visit the Batwa Pygmy community for an understanding of their culture.

Day 4 6; begin on a gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

This forest is home to half of the worlds remaining mountain gorillas. Upon arrival at your lodge or camp near the park settle in. Get ready for an experience. Over the three days with a guide leading the way venture into different regions of Bwindi Forest for thrilling encounters with specific gorilla families. Trek through vegetation. Immerse yourself in their natural habitat. Witness their strength, intelligence and social interactions firsthand while capturing moments through photographs that will last a lifetime. The duration of each gorilla trekking experience may vary from a hours, to a day depending on where the gorilla family is located and how they move around. Once you’ve finished your trek head back, to your lodge or camp to unwind and reflect on the encounters with the gorillas.

Days 7 9; Exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park. Wildlife Adventure

After a breakfast make your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its wildlife and breathtaking scenery. Check into your lodge or camp. Indulge in a delicious lunch. Over the three days immerse yourself in the wonders of the park. begin on thrilling wildlife safaris. Join guides for morning and afternoon game drives as they assist you in spotting an array of animals, such as elephants, lions, buffalos, leopards and an assortment of bird species. Take in the captivating sights of the savannah, crater lakes and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains.

Don’t miss out on a boat safari along the mesmerizing Kazinga Channel that connects Lake Edward with Lake George. Witness hippos basking in their habitat alongside crocodiles while being serenaded by a chorus of bird species like African fish eagles, pelicans and kingfishers. Venture into Ishasha sector within the park renowned for its tree climbing lions.

Days 10 11; Return tour to Entebbe with Optional Activities

Following a fulfilling breakfast experience drive back to Entebbe relishing in landscapes dotted with communities, along your route. Once you arrive at Entebbe settle into your hotel. Enjoy some leisure time to unwind or explore the surrounding area.
You have the option to take part in activities during your time such, as visiting the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary exploring the beautiful Entebbe Botanical Gardens on foot or paying a visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre.

Day 12; End Of Safari

On Day 12 it’s time to say goodbye to Uganda. After enjoying breakfast you’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure. Take all those memories of your golden monkey trekking, gorilla trekking and wildlife safari adventure in Uganda, with you as you leave.
