Day 1; Arriving in Entebbe
Upon your arrival, at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda our representative will warmly greet you. Assist you with the immigration procedures. They will then transfer you to your hotel either in Entebbe or Kampala. Take some time to relax and get accustomed to the environment.
Day 2; Moving to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After enjoying a breakfast begin on a tour towards Mgahinga Gorilla National Park located in southwestern Uganda. Marvel at the landscapes and charming rural villages that dot the route.
Upon reaching the park check in at your chosen lodge or campsite. Indulge in a lunch. In the afternoon take a stroll around the park to get used to the altitude while soaking in the awe inspiring views of the Virunga Mountains.
Day 3; Gorilla Trekking Adventure, in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Rise and savor a breakfast before setting off for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. Meet your guide who will lead you through the forest as you search for a gorilla family.
Navigate through vegetation paying attention to any sounds or signs of gorillas nearby. Once you encounter the gorilla family spend a hour observing them within their habitat. Witness their captivating behaviors, interactions and witness firsthand their bonds. Capture photographs as mementos of this encounter.
After completing the trek take some time to relax and reflect on the experience of being, in the presence of mountain gorillas at your lodge or camp.
Day 4; Exploring Golden Monkeys
Following breakfast begin on an adventure to search for and observe the endangered golden monkeys in the bamboo forests of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Accompanied by a guide trek through the forest as they assist you in locating these creatures.
Once you encounter a group of monkeys take delight in observing their behaviors and distinctive characteristics. Gain insights into their conservation status. Learn about efforts to protect them.
After your golden monkey trekking experience you have the opportunity to further explore the park during the remainder of the day. Take leisurely nature walks. Visit the Batwa Pygmy community for an enriching trail. Immerse yourself in their history and traditions while discovering forest skills that have been passed down through generations.
Day 5; Thrilling Volcano Hike
Today begin on an exciting hike to one of three volcanoes Muhavura, Gahinga or Sabyinyo. Each volcano provides an experience along with awe inspiring views from its summit.
Trek, through forests adorned with flora and fauna as you ascend towards your chosen volcanos peak.
Take in the views of the stunning landscapes that surround you including other volcanoes, lakes and even neighboring countries. Reach the summit and relish in the sense of accomplishment that comes with conquering such a volcano.
Once you’ve completed your hike make your way down, to your lodge. Campsite and spend the evening unwinding and reflecting on the incredible adventures of the day.
Day 6; Optional Activities and Serenity
Today presents you with a choice. Engage in activities. Simply bask in the beauty of Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks exquisite surroundings.
You have a range of options to consider. From birdwatching. Guided nature walks to engaging yourself in communities to learn about their unique culture and way of life. Alternatively take this day as an opportunity to recharge your energy amidst the tranquil ambiance of the park.
Day 7; Departure
After enjoying a breakfast bid farewell to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park as you begin on your tour to Entebbe. Take pleasure in gazing at landscapes along with glimpses into communities that dot your route. Upon reaching Entebbe, our representative will ensure your transfer to Entebbe International Airport, for departure leaving you with memories of unforgettable moments spent trekking gorillas encountering golden monkeys exploring Batwa culture trails and conquering volcanoes at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
