A carefully designed adventure for older travelers, balancing nature walks, wildlife viewing, and comfortable travel days.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our company representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel in either Entebbe or Kampala. Based on your arrival time, you may choose to rest, enjoy lake views, or take a light walk nearby. Dinner and overnight at 2 Friends Hotel (Entebbe) or Latitude 0 Degrees (Kampala).

Day 2: Rhino Viewing at Ziwa Rhino Reserve

After breakfast, drive north to Ziwa Rhino Reserve, approximately three hours from Kampala. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and settle into your accommodations. In the afternoon, join a ranger-led rhino viewing walk. The route is planned with safety and comfort in mind. Other species, such as bushbuck and waterbuck, are also commonly seen, along with a variety of birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Ziwa Rhino Bandas.

Day 3: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping for lunch on the way. Upon arrival, head to the top of the falls, where the Nile passes through a narrow rock cleft. A brief guided walk brings you to scenic viewpoints. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Morning Wildlife Viewing – Afternoon Boat Ride on the Nile

Start your morning with a game drive on the northern plains. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, lions, and antelopes. After returning to the lodge for breakfast and some rest, enjoy a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls. This experience offers excellent wildlife viewing in a relaxed setting. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Second Game Drive – Afternoon at the Lodge

Today begins with another morning wildlife drive. You may encounter different species or revisit sightings from the previous day. After lunch, the afternoon is open for quiet activities at the lodge, including swimming, reading, or enjoying river views. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 6: Scenic Transfer to Kibale Forest Region

After an early breakfast, begin the journey south toward Kibale Forest. The drive passes tea estates, green hills, and rural villages. Stop for lunch and breaks as needed. Arrive at your lodge in the Fort Portal area by evening. Dinner and overnight at Tabebuia Spa & Safari Resort or Papaya Lake Lodge.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Walk & Bigodi Wetland Visit

In the morning, join a guided chimpanzee walk in Kibale Forest. Porters and walking sticks are available for added support. After locating the chimps, you’ll spend one hour watching their social behavior. Return to your lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland area, which offers great bird viewing and cultural interaction. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 8: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, continue south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The route features views of crater lakes and the Rwenzori mountain range. Lunch will be served upon arrival at your lodge, followed by a relaxed afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 9: Game Viewing – Afternoon Boat Excursion

Begin with a morning drive on the Kasenyi plains. This area is known for its diversity of large mammals and predators. After breakfast, enjoy some time at the lodge. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. This area is home to hippos, buffalo, elephants, and numerous birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 10: Travel to Bwindi Forest via Ishasha

After breakfast, set off for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, traveling through the Ishasha sector, which is known for its tree-resting lions. Lunch and rest stops are included along the way. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Four Gorillas Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge, or Buhoma Lodge.

Day 11: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for your gorilla briefing. The walk is paced carefully, and support is available. Once the group is located, you will spend an hour observing their daily behavior. Return to your lodge to rest and enjoy a quiet evening. Dinner and overnight at your Bwindi lodge.

Day 12: Flexible Day – Choose Your Activity

You may choose from the following:

  • Second Gorilla Walk: For those who would like to visit a different gorilla group.
  • Lodge Rest Day: Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and forest views.
  • Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: A calm, island-dotted lake perfect for relaxation and gentle boat outings.

Dinner and overnight at your chosen location: Four Gorillas Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge, Buhoma Lodge, or Mihingo Lodge if you go to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 13: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo, stopping along the way for meals and photos. Arrive by afternoon and check in at your lodge. Light activities like a short evening drive or enjoying the sunset from the terrace are possible. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge.

Day 14: Wildlife Drive & Optional Light Activities

Start the morning with a wildlife drive, with likely sightings of zebras, giraffes, impalas, and other animals. Later, choose from activities such as a guided walk, cycling, or horseback riding, all paced gently. Spend the afternoon resting at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge.

Day 15: Return to Kampala – Overnight Stay

Following breakfast, drive back to Kampala. The journey includes a stop at the equator for photos and lunch. You’ll reach Kampala in the afternoon and check into your hotel. The evening is free, with the option for cultural entertainment or a relaxed city drive. Dinner and overnight at Latitude 0 Degrees.

Day 16: Morning Outing & Airport Transfer

After breakfast, take a short walk through one of Kampala’s local markets or nearby communities. Later, you’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure. End of tour.
