With her meticulous attention to detail and vast knowledge of East African Safaris combined with her Degree in Tourism, Calah has earned a reputation for turning complex safari wishes into seamlessly executed journeys.

Mujuni Edmund – Senior Safari Guide

With 17 years of guiding experience under his belt, Edmund exemplifies the perfect blend of expertise and enthusiasm that defines Insight Safari Holidays. His journey in tourism began with comprehensive training through the Uganda Safari Guides Association, where he specialized in cultural interpretation, wildlife behavior, and advanced birding techniques. Edmund’s expertise extends beyond traditional guiding – he is certified in defensive driving and 4×4 off-road navigation, ensuring both adventure and safety for his guests.

What sets Edmund apart is his passionate approach to nature interpretation. As an avid birdwatcher, he has an uncanny ability to spot and identify the most elusive avian species. His love for fishing adds another dimension to his guiding, offering guests unique insights into Uganda’s waterways and fishing communities. Whether you’re tracking gorillas through misty forests or photographing birds in the savannah, Edmund’s extensive knowledge and friendly demeanor make every moment memorable.

Jacob Kasirye – Cultural and Wildlife Specialist

Jacob’s story is deeply intertwined with Uganda’s wilderness. Born in the Kazinga fishing village within Queen Elizabeth National Park, his connection to wildlife and nature isn’t just professional – it’s personal. His 15-year guiding career is built on a foundation of both academic excellence and practical experience, combining his degree in Population Studies from prestigious Makerere University with specialized guide training from the Uganda Safari Guides Association.

Jacob’s unique background allows him to offer insights that go beyond typical wildlife viewing. He expertly weaves together stories of local communities, wildlife behavior, and ecosystem dynamics, creating rich, multifaceted safari experiences. His enthusiasm for bird watching and game drives is infectious, and his skill in volleyball often leads to impromptu games with local communities, adding an unexpected touch of fun to cultural visits. With an impressive 25-year career in safari guiding, Jack brings unparalleled experience to every tour. His childhood in Katwe, a historic salt-mining village within Queen Elizabeth National Park, gave him an intimate understanding of the delicate balance between human communities and wildlife. This unique perspective shapes his approach to guiding, offering guests insights into both natural and cultural heritage.

Jack’s expertise in defensive driving and extensive knowledge of Uganda’s terrain ensures safe and comfortable journeys even in the most challenging conditions. His warm personality and love for swimming often lead to engaging discussions about Uganda’s numerous lakes and waterways. Jack’s quarter-century of experience means he has an encyclopedic knowledge of wildlife behavior patterns and the best viewing locations throughout the seasons.

Azaria Kameraho – Wildlife and Conservation Specialist

Azaria brings a unique blend of academic knowledge and practical experience to our team. His formal education in Wildlife and Natural Resource Management, combined with his experience as a former Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide, gives him an unmatched understanding of conservation practices and wildlife behavior. With 20 years in the field, Azaria has developed a reputation for his ability to track and interpret animal behavior in ways that few others can match.
