Day 1; Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Take some time to explore Moshi and begin adjusting to the altitude.
Day 2; Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Camp)
Altitude; From 2100m to 2650m

Hiking Time; Around 3 4 hours
After enjoying breakfast head towards Londorossi Gate for registration. Your trek will kick off by traversing through the rainforest until you reach Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Day 3; Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Camp) to Shira 1 Camp
Altitude; From 2650m to 3500m
Distance; 8 km
Hiking Time; 5 6 hours
Bid farewell to the forest and enter a moorland environment as you make your way, towards Shira 1 Camp.On this leg of the tour you’ll get your close views of Kibo, the magnificent summit of Kilimanjaro.
Day 4; Moving from Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
Altitude; Going from 3500m, to 3850m
Distance; Covering a distance of 8 km
Hiking time; Approximately 4 5 hours
This day serves as an opportunity for acclimatization allowing your body to adjust to the altitude. A pleasant walk towards Shira 2 Camp will give you time to relax and take in the surroundings.
Day 5; Heading from Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower
Altitude; Ascending from 3850m to reach a height of 4630m before descending down to an altitude of 3950m
Distance; Trekking for about 10 km
Hiking time; Expect a challenging hike lasting around 6 7 hours
The trail becomes more demanding on this day leading you towards Lava Tower for further acclimatization. Afterward you’ll descend towards Barranco Camp, renowned for its groundsels (senecios).
Day 6; touring from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Altitude; Moving from an elevation of approximately3950m up to4035m
Distance; Covering a distance of around5 km
Hiking time; Anticipate spending about4 5 hours hiking
Your day will kick off with a climb, up the Barranco Wall. From there you’ll continue through the captivating alpine desert landscape until you reach Karanga Camp.
Day 7; Karanga Camp, to Barafu Camp
Elevation; From 4035m to 4673m
Distance Covered; 4 kilometers
Hiking Duration; Around 4 to 5 hours
Your tour will take you through an alpine desert landscape as you make your way to Barafu Camp, the base camp. This is where you’ll prepare yourself for the ascent to the summit.
Day 8; Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak down to Mweka Camp
Elevation; From 4673m to an impressive height of 5895m (Uhuru Peak) and then descending back down to 3100m.
Distance Covered; Approximately a challenging climb of 5 kilometers followed by a descent of around 12 kilometers.
Hiking Duration; An estimated time of about 7 to 8 hours for the ascent and around 4 to 6 hours for the descent.
Starting at midnight you’ll begin on the push towards reaching Uhuru Peak. After experiencing the exhilaration of standing at the summit you’ll make your way towards Mweka Camp where you’ll spend the night.
Day 9; Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate then return tour back Moshi
Elevation; Descending from an altitude of from3100m all the way in elevation reaching1630m.
Distance Covered; A total distance covered of approximately10 kilometers.
Hiking Duration; A hiking duration lasting about3to4hours.
On this day of your adventure you will descend from Mweka Camp as you make your way towards Mweka Gate. Here is where you will receive your deserved summit certificates. Afterward transportation will be arranged back, to your hotel in Moshi where you can rest and celebrate your achievement.Day 10; Departure
