Day 0; Arrival Day

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport our friendly team will welcome you. Transfer you to Mvuli Hotel in Arusha. This charming lodge is nestled at the foot of Meru Mountain providing an atmosphere for relaxation. Later our safari manager will give you all the information about your adventure allowing you to unwind and enjoy the pleasant weather of Arusha.

Day 1; Arusha. Tarangire National Park

Distance; 120 km
Non viewing time; 2. 3 hours

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge your knowledgeable safari driver guide will meet up with you. Together you’ll begin on a tour, to Tarangire National Park while passing through the town of Arusha. Along the way there’s an opportunity to make any last minute purchases as we stop by the supermarket before entering the park.
The tour will take you along the Northern Highway passing through the Maasai steppe and local villages. After 2 to 3 hours you’ll begin on a game drive.

Tarangire is famous, for its elephant population, baobab trees that tower over the animals below and being the fifth largest National Park in Tanzania. Get ready to observe herds of elephants, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, hippos as some rare species like Greater Kudu, Fringed eared Oryx and Ash Stalling. Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled to spot over 400 bird species including ostriches, secretary birds and herons. You may also catch a glimpse of predators such as lions hyenas cheetahs jackals and leopards. As evening approaches we’ll make our way to the lodge for a dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2; Tarangire. Serengeti National Park Distance; 145 km Non viewing time; 3. 4 hours

After enjoying a breakfast at the lodge we’ll continue our tour, towards Serengeti National Park. We’ll pass through the highlands of Karatu before reaching the Ngorongoro gate where we’ll make a stop at the Crater viewpoint. This is a spot to capture pictures of the crater floor. Continue driving along the rim of the Crater and descend into the heart of “Wilde Africa”. Serengeti National Park, renowned for its rolling plains.

On your way, to Serengeti make a stop at a Masai village where you’ll be warmly welcomed by Masai warriors who will gladly share insights into their way of life. Take a guided tour of their homes ask questions and even join in their high jumping dance. Afterward continue your tour with a game drive to Naabi Hills Gate for check in before proceeding to Seronera, the area of Serengeti park.

Seronera is home to one of the wildlife habitats in Serengeti all thanks to the presence of Seronera River. The primary water source that attracts an incredible variety of wildlife. Indulge in a picnic lunch amidst outcroppings called Kopjes and venture on an afternoon game drive in search of the iconic Wildebeest Migration. As dusk settles in reach your lodge for a deserved dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3; Day Exploring Serengeti National Park

Today’s itinerary allows you to experience a day dedicated to game drives in the landscapes of Serengeti. Start off early with packed breakfast and lunch boxes as you begin on an adventure.Start your day with an early morning game drive to have a chance, at spotting the cat family as they navigate through the landscape. You’ll get to witness animals returning from their night of hunting and observe lionesses organizing ambushes or feeding by the roadside.

Take a break for breakfast in the bush before continuing your tour to where the Wildebeest Migration’s bustling. Spend plenty of time observing the herds, big cats and other captivating wildlife actions like hunting, killing and fighting. On your way to the lodge enjoy the sunset.

Day 4; Serengeti. Ngorongoro Crater Distance; 85 km Non viewing time; 2. 3 hours

After having breakfast at your camp begin on an en route game drive, towards Naabi Hills gate. Once you complete check out procedures proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the crater floor for an exciting game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is often hailed as one of natures wonders around the world.
Supported by a water supply throughout the year and plenty of food for the animals the crater is a haven, for a variety of wildlife. You can encounter wildebeests, African elephants, elands, zebras, hippos, warthogs, buffalos and an abundance of antelopes during a game drive in this area. It’s not rare to spot the rhino and witness all members of the Big Five in just one day. Take some time to enjoy a lunch on the crater floor and be amazed by the number of predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and even catch a glimpse of the mysterious leopard. Make sure not to miss out on visiting Lake Magadi—an alkaline lake that attracts flamingos and other beautiful aquatic birds. As evening approaches we’ll leave the crater behind along with Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Head towards Eileens Trees Inn where you’ll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 5; Ngorongoro. Lake Manyara. Arusha Distance; 175 km Non viewing time; 3 to 4 hours

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge or accommodation site in Ngorongoro area we’ll begin on a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting game drive adventure. The park got its name from its landscapes adorned with Euphorbia trucalli trees—referred to as “milk bush” in Maasai language—which are traditionally used by people, for cattle fencing purposes.
The park boasts a landscape, with tropical forests filled with grand fig and mahogany trees. It remains an oasis of vegetation throughout the year thanks to the presence of water streams.

One of Lake Manyara attractions is its tree climbing lions and the abundance of flamingos. Keep a lookout for herds of wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, hippos and antelopes that freely roam this park. You might also spot primates like baboons, blue monkeys and velvet monkeys in their habitat. If luck is on your side you may even catch a glimpse of the leopard;. Remember, it takes sharp eyes to spot this majestic creature. Along the lake shore you’ll be delighted by the sight of flamingos and other aquatic birds.

After a game drive until afternoon time it will be time to start your tour back to Arusha. If you’re not catching a flight on the day you have the opportunity to visit a Masai market along the way. Arriving in Arusha later in the afternoon allows for an stay (accommodation can be arranged upon request for an additional cost).

Meals included are breakfast and lunch during your excursion. In case you are flying on that day from Kilimanjaro Airport (KLM can be considered as one of your options since it departs from Kilimanjaro International Airport at 21;30) we will ensure your transfer there.
