Day 1; Arriving in Nairobi
Upon your arrival, at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi our friendly representative will warmly greet you. Provide assistance with immigration procedures. They will then accompany you to your hotel allowing you some time to relax and adjust to the city.
Day 2; Exploring Lake Nakuru National Park
After enjoying a breakfast we’ll leave Nairobi behind. begin on a scenic drive towards Lake Nakuru National Park nestled within the magnificent Great Rift Valley. As we tour through landscapes and lush farmlands you’ll be captivated by the beauty of the surroundings. Upon reaching Lake Nakuru settle into your lodge or camp. Indulge in a lunch.
In the afternoon get ready for a game drive within the park. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its spectacle of flamingos that paint the lakes shores pink. Keep an eye out for fascinating bird species like pelicans, marabou storks and African fish eagles. Additionally this park is home to rhinos, lions, giraffes and various antelope species that add to its biodiversity. Enjoy a dinner at your accommodation as you unwind after a day.
Day 3; touring from Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara
Fuel up with a breakfast before leaving the wonders of Lake Nakuru as we make our way towards Maasai Mara National Reserve. Traverse through landscapes along the Rift Valley during our drive until we reach Maasai Mara in time, for lunch at your chosen lodge or campsite.
After that you can go on an afternoon safari to search for wildlife.
The Maasai Mara is famous, for its plains, abundant wildlife and its significant role in the Great Migration. You’ll witness thousands of wildebeests, zebras and other grazing animals as they cross the Mara River in search of pastures. Keep an eye out for predators like lions, cheetahs and hyenas that follow the migration. Afterward return to your accommodation for a dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Days 4 to 7; Maasai Mara Migration Safari
For the four days you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve during the peak of the Great Migration. Start each morning with a rise. Enjoy breakfast before begining on full day safari drives to witness this incredible spectacle of wildlife.
Follow the herds of migrating animals as they traverse the savannah overcoming challenges along their tour through the Mara River. Observe them as they bravely cross this river while avoiding crocodiles and facing currents. Be amazed, by their numbers. Observe how this natural phenomenon unfolds before your eyes.
Besides experiencing the migration itself you’ll also encounter a range of wildlife in Maasai Mara. Spot prides of lions resting under trees or leopards perched on tree branches. Watch elephants peacefully grazing on the plains or cheetahs stealthily hunting their prey. Take advantage of this opportunity to explore areas within the reserve and discover its variety of ecosystems.
In the midst of the midday sun take pleasure in indulging in picnic lunches in the heart of the reserve or head back, to your lodge for a rejuvenating break. In the afternoons continue your exploration of wildlife. Immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of the African bush. As each evening approaches return to your accommodation for a dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Day 8; Maasai Mara to Nairobi
After enjoying a breakfast say goodbye to Maasai Mara as you begin your tour back to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi, during the afternoon and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your travels. Alternatively you can choose to extend your stay and discover more of Kenyas attractions.
