Day 1; Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge in Arusha begin on a tour towards Tarangire National Park for a game drive. As you travel you’ll pass through the Maasai steppe. Encounter charming local villages along the way. Situated along the Tarangire River Tarangire National Park holds a place among the national parks in Northern Tanzania. Its landscape features hills within the Great Rift Valley adorned with acacia woodland and majestic African Baobab trees. The park also boasts a captivating swamp area in its region.
The Tarangire River and surrounding swamps are water sources that attract a variety of wildlife unique to this park. Among them elephants take stage. Contribute to Tarangire’s reputation as an elephant haven. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings like giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, warthogs, baboons and plenty of playful monkeys. In addition to these creatures the park is also home to three species; Greater Kudu, Fringed Eared Oryx and Ash stalling. Predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs as various birds of prey like vultures can be spotted here too. Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled by the array of, over 400 bird species that call this park their home throughout seasons. Including migratory ones.
As the afternoon. The sun begins to set head, towards Marera Valley Lodge for a dinner and an overnight stay. On your way take a break at the Lake Manyara viewpoint to capture images of Lake Manyara and its surrounding forest, which can be seen from the edge of the Great East African Rift Valley.
Your meal plan includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will be staying at Marera Valley Lodge near Karatu town or a similar accommodation option.
Day 2; Tarangire National Park– Ngorongoro Crater Safari

After enjoying a breakfast make your way up to the Ngorongoro highlands. Take a moment to register at the gate before proceeding towards the Crater viewpoint. Pause for a while to admire the breathtaking views of the Crater floor from above and don’t forget to capture some photographs. Then descend down into the Crater floor with its towering walls that reach up to 600 meters for a day of thrilling game drives.
Known as Africas “Eden ” Ngorongoro Crater offers scenery. Is home to an abundance of wildlife. The Crater serves as a haven for large mammals and plains animals. Enjoy your lunch, on the Crater floor while keeping your eyes peeled for herds of wildebeests, elands, zebras, hippos, African elephants, gazelles and even catch sight of black rhinos thriving in their natural habitat.
One of the highlights of the Crater is its collection of predators such, as lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and the elusive leopard that requires observation. Surrounded by towering walls measuring 600 meters in height these fascinating animals can be observed at close distances. During your visit you will also have the opportunity to explore Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake located in the corner of the Crater. This lake is famous for its flocks of flamingos, aquatic bird species and resident hippos. As the afternoon comes to an end we will drive back to Marera Valley Lodge for a dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3; Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

After enjoying breakfast we will proceed towards Lake Manyara National Park. This lush park is nestled at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley. Its diverse habitats provide a home for animal species including the tree climbing lions unique to this area. During your visit expect encounters, with giraffes elephants zebras buffaloes leopards hyenas and many other fascinating creatures.
After exploring Lake Manyara you will return to Arusha. If you’d like you can visit the Mto wa Mbu market or any Maasai market along the way before reaching Arusha in the afternoon. Let us know if you have a flight scheduled on this day or if you need accommodation, in Arusha.
