Day 1; Arriving in Kigali

Welcome to Rwanda! When you arrive at Kigali International Airport you’ll be greeted by your guide who will take you to your hotel. Take some time today to acclimate to the surroundings and get ready, for a 15 day tour.

Day 2;  Heart of Kigali

Begin your exploration of Kigali by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a place that honors the victims of the events in 1994 and provides an understanding of Rwandas history. Afterward explore the markets in the city including the Kimironko Market, where you’ll find an atmosphere filled with fresh produce, textiles and handmade crafts.

Day 3 4; Akagera National Park

begin on a tour to Akagera National Park, which serves as a sanctuary for wildlife and plays a role as a wetland habitat. Enjoy game drives with opportunities to spot Africas renowned Big Five animals. With over 8,000 mammals recorded in this park each moment brings forth exciting new sightings.

Day 5; Nyungwe Forest National Park

Proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park, an area of immense biodiversity boasting than 1,000 species. It is truly a haven, for nature enthusiasts. Primate lovers alike.
During your tour I highly recommend making a stop, at the Ethnographic Museum. It offers an exploration into Rwandas cultural heritage.

Day 6; Chimpanzee Trekking Rwanda

Prepare for a chimpanzee tracking adventure as we venture into the parks forest. Here you’ll have an opportunity to witness the wonders of nature and observe the captivating behavior of 500 wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

Day 7; Nyungwe Canopy Walk & Village Tour

Day 7; Brace yourself for an experience as we take a walk on East Africas canopy walkway suspended high above the forest floor. Following this exciting adventure we’ll visit the Banda Cultural Village to delve deeper into Rwandas traditions.

Day 8;Visit Lake Kivu

Immerse yourself in tranquility at Lake Kivu, one of Africas Great Lakes. This is the setting to enjoy a serene boat ride or engage with locals, at nearby coffee and tea plantations.

Day 9;Volcanoes National Park

Get ready to explore Volcanoes National Park, where misty landscapes await you. Along the way we’ll make a stop at Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about customs partake in dances and savor delicious local cuisine lovingly prepared by community members.

Day 10; Gorilla Trekking – Encounter, with the Gentle Giants

begin on a guided trek to meet the mountain gorillas as this park is their habitat. It’s an experience that will stay with you forever.

Day 11; Golden Monkey Tracking and Cultural Immersion

Set out to track the monkeys a rare primate species found in Volcanoes National Park. Afterward immerse yourself in the culture by visiting the Gorilla Guardians Village.

Day 12 13; Scaling the Virunga Volcanoes

Choose between scaling Mt. Karisimbi (4,507m) or Mt. Bisoke (3,711m) depending on your fitness level. Both offer views and opportunities to encounter alpine flora and fauna.

Day 14; Gishwati Mukura National Park – Exploring a New Frontier

Explore Gishwati Mukura National Park, which is renowned for its biodiversity and happens to be Rwandas national park. Enjoy guided nature walks, birdwatching and engage with communities in proximity to the park.

Day 15; Kigali – Bid Farewell, to the Land of a Thousand Hills

Conclude your tour by returning to Kigali for your day. If time permits before your departure consider visiting Caplaki Craft Village for some last minute souvenir shopping.
Afterwards you’ll be taken to the airport for your departing flight signifying the conclusion of a 15 day tour, in Rwanda.
